TESTIMONIALS
We've seen Kyle's photography at a friends house prior, that is what brought us to this website. We were intrigued with his commissioned painting offer and decided to give it a go. We commissioned a Watercolor Portrait of our family and are so happy with how it came out. Much more of a conversation piece than if it were just a photograph. We highly recommend Focal Point Fine Art and Kyle! We will be back to order something more soon. :)

All I can say is Wow! Wow! Wow!
Kyle created such a beautiful one of a kind painting for our Living Room. Everyone comments on how much they love it! Surpassed all our expectations and then some, Thank you!

After ordering a few photos through Focal Points site, I knew I found something special. I decided to commission them to commemorate a very special vacation my parents took and then surprise them with the painting as a Christmas gift. Needles to say, my Parents loved the gift (they cried happy tears) and everytime someone visits their house, they walk them over and tell the story of how their daughter had this done for them. That always makes me smile! Thanks.

Choose from 6 techniques
(keep scrolling down to see the samples)
1
Oil Painting
Ink/pigment is thicker (non-transparent), applied with brushes and palette knives to create simulated texture, a very loose technique that is very artistic, looks great on canvas. Can even show cracking of oil (called aging).
2
Watercolor Painting
A transparent pigment that often shows the layers of the brush strokes, and how the pigment reacts to the water and paper. Also referred to as "Aquarelle" painting which is French for water.
3
Architectural Sketch-Art
This technique usually combines pencil/ink renderings that are accented with watercolor. The under-drawing or imperfections are part of the piece. Doesn't always have to be of a building, could even be used for portrait.
4
Ink or Pencil Drawings
These could be monochromed pieces (like ink on paper) or could use colored pencil. Not usually as vibraint of colors as a painting. You will see the pencil lines, the hatch marks, the shading.
5
Marker Sketch-Art
This is a very loose style using markers over the top of a pencil outline. The markers usually don't stay within the lines. These can have a high energy feel to the finished piece. Fun!
6
Mixed Media Art
Mixes media is just as it sounds... it's a combination of techniques, including photography sometimes. Sometimes other textures are added, like newspaper print or sheet music.
