Description:In Delta County Colorado, this red barn sits at the base ofthe western slope of the West Elk Mountain range. This selective colored photo was taken from the school yard of the historic Midway School(between Paonia & Hotchkiss) looking toward Mt. Lamborn and Landsend Peak.Midway School was built in 1920 and was in use until 1950 when rural schools were consolidatedinto the Delta County School district. The red barn across the field from the school is an old post & beam style barn that accents the beautiful mountain backdrop.
